Lion-Eating Poet in the Stone Den
This is just one page from the above site. It cracked me up! For all of you out there trying to learn Chinese, you might appreciate it. A linguist in the early 20th Century spoofed the attempts to write Chinese phonetically by writing a 93 word poem in which all 93 words are phonetically pronouced "shi" It includes a sound bite of the poem!

This website is designed for kids to learn about the city of their birth. It's also a good way for traveling parents to learn a bit about where they are going. There was a problem at one point with one city within this site linking to some material that should not be seen by kids – the site owner was contacted to check it out. The site is otherwise really good but either have your online filters set or just double check the links first.
